TV appearance and a new studio!

At long last, my wonderful little studio is open!

The children and I have been donning our overalls and getting down to work, wire brushing, washing and repainting the walls of this dear little old Victorian tool shed or bothy at Orchard Nursery, Holtye Road, East Grinstead. Having previously worked at the nursery, (a superb place for watercolour painting inspiration!) I am now resident artist! It's a dream come true and something that Lynda Bradford (the nursery's owner) and I had talked about two years ago. It's the perfect place for painting after years struggling with the distractions of trying to work from home!

A little help from my friends!

Lynda and her family have just opened their new shop, officially opened last Friday 11th September 2009 by the wonderful David Shepherd OBE. I was so delighted to spend time chatting to him and his lovely wife Avril. What an amazing man, warm and genuine, a devoted wildlife conservator and of course an incredible artist. Do have a look at his website.

Now, on a rather different note, on Friday 18th September at 6.30 pm, BBC2, my mother and children are on the telly! We're appearing in the series 'Trust Me, I'm a Dealer' with presenter and antiques dealer, Paul Martin. What a laugh we had filming (see previous blog pages) and now it's about to be broadcast, but I won't spill the beans and tell you the outcome!!
