I’ve always loved painting and am constantly in awe at the natural wonders of nature in our rambling Sussex garden!
Painting throughout my life I passionately combine this with a love of the countryside, history and wildlife and most importantly, being a mum.
After graduating in 1991 with an English Degree (University of Ulster), I initially taught English as a Foreign Language for five years, teaching in language schools throughout the UK. In 1992 I married Steve and we had our daughter Freya, now at Bournemouth studying a Computer Animation Art Degree! In 1998, with initial backing from the Prince’s Youth Trust, I enjoyed seven years running our high street gallery and picture framing business in Horley, which began as a small, cold and wet market stall in 1996. In 2002 we had our second child, Jack. In 2005 I successfully qualified with a PGCE (in Primary Education) at Brighton University.
I'm now happily combining working for the National Trust with a little bit of television presenting for the Painting and Drawing Channel and the Society for All Artists (The SAA), the school pick up, playing the piano (and sometimes the accordion!), cooking and managing our cosy home and rambling garden.
But there's always time for painting.....
